Never again should you worry about how much you binge watch, because the Guinness World Record for binge watching is now 94 hours. Sponsored byCyberLink, a multimedia technology company, one courageous man was able to set the world record from Friday, April 8 to Tuesday, April 12.

The promotion began with three NY-based participants, but Brooklynite Alejandro “AJ” Fragoso, 25, was able to watch back-to-back episodes of “Battlestar Galactica,” “Twilight Zone,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “Adventure Time” and others for 94 straight hours. The contestants were able to stream the content through CyberLink’s media player PowerDVD 16, which was launched today. The software allows users to improve the video and audio quality of their favorite shows, movies and music. The latest version adds capabilities like a new TV mode and streaming connections with Apple TV, Roku and Chromecast.

Upon winning, Fragoso said, “Throughout this process I learned that binge watching TV for abnormally long durations can actually be quite physically taxing.” Luckily there was a doctor on call 24/7 to make sure that the candidates were alright before and after the marathon.

The previous world record was 92 hours, completed on March 19, 2016 by three Austrians in Vienna. Perhaps someone will be able to reach 100 hours with the proper training and dedication.
