This week’s Vimeo Staff Pick chose to highlight a short film that has been circulating animated film festivals for the past couple years. “The Life of Death” plays off of the perennial “Pushing Daisies” idea of love between life and death.

Created by Dutch filmmaker Marsha Onderstijn, “The Life of Death” was her graduation film in 2012, and it has been finally released online with the launch of her new website. Although her short is not complex or groundbreaking, its simplicity and purity makes it quite moving.
