Yesterday, Nick Soares was announced as the new CEO of GoDigital, Inc. He joins the company after serving as the previous CEO of the digital film self-distribution site Distribber.com, which GoDigital, Inc. acquired last year.

“We have been evaluating the changing nature of distributing content and believe that raising Nick to CEO of GoDigital, Inc., made tremendous sense,” said the company’s Board of Directors in an official statement. “This provides him the opportunity to expand GoDigital’s brand footprint and allows for significant and meaningful expansion over the next few years.”

Distribber.com has released thousands of independent films on major platforms such as iTunes, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Playstation, Dish Network and more. Filmmakers get to keep 100 percent of revenues generated in the subsequent distribution.

“I could not be happier with my appointment as CEO of GoDigital, Inc,” added Soares. “The vote of confidence to work alongside some of the finest leadership in the combined new media and entertainment spaces allows me to continue building the exponential brand growth that we’ve already had with Distribber.com. We have worked hard to expand our client list of filmmakers, user base and distribution alliances with all of the top digital retailers and I look forward to bringing even more success to these areas and content creators worldwide.”

The most recent release from Distribber.com is “The Resurrection of Jake the Snake,” directed by Steve Yu, which is currently topping the charts on the iTunes documentary section.
